Romano clarified, via his official account on the 'X' platform, that Giocher's informed his club that he would not participate in training until his transfer to Arsenal was completed, emphasizing his insistence on moving to the London team and his unwillingness to continue with Sporting.

Romano wrote: 'Viktor Giocher's will not train with Sporting today, tomorrow, or at any time this summer,' adding: 'His decision is clear as he announced during the week, he only wants Arsenal, and his time with Lisbon is over.'
