Arsenal Football Club has officially announced the signing of Danish international Christian Norgaard from Brentford to strengthen the team's midfield during the current summer transfer window.

Reports indicate that Norgaard, who is 31 years old, has signed a contract that extends until the summer of 2027, following a distinguished career with Brentford where he played 196 matches in various competitions, scoring 13 goals and assisting 18 others, and served as team captain last season.

Norgaard has significant experience both domestically and internationally, having previously played for clubs such as Lyngby and Brøndby in Denmark, Hamburg in Germany, and Fiorentina in Italy, in addition to representing the Denmark national team in 35 international matches since his debut in 2020.

The club has not disclosed the value of the transfer, but some sources revealed that the transfer fee amounted to 10 million euros, according to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano on his official account on the X platform.

Norgaard will wear the number 16 shirt with Arsenal and will join the team's camp immediately in preparation for the new season, pending the completion of official regulatory procedures.
