Raja Club Athletic Complains to FIFA Over Rahimi's Transfer
Monday 07-07-2025
The management of Raja Club Athletic, a Moroccan football club, has decided to file an official complaint with the Dispute Resolution Committee of the International Football Federation (FIFA) to demand its rights following the transfer of player Hussein Rahimi to Al Ain Club in the UAE before the end of his contract.

Raja considers Al Ain's signing of Rahimi as "illegal," clarifying that the player's contract was set to last until the end of June this year, while the Emirati club announced his official signing before the contract expired, which has caused discontent among Raja's management.

In this context, the club's management has appointed a specialized Belgian lawyer to follow up on the case with FIFA, after all attempts at an amicable settlement with Al Ain failed.

Raja's management demanded that Al Ain pay 2 billion Moroccan centimes (about 1.9 million dollars) to resolve the dispute amicably, but no agreement has been reached so far.

This legal escalation comes after Rahimi recently participated with Al Ain in the FIFA Club World Cup held in the United States, which has intensified the situation within Raja, who insists on its right to financial compensation for the player's transfer without respecting the contract terms.

It is worth noting that Hussein Rahimi played 28 matches with Raja this season across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists, before deciding to embark on a new professional experience in the UAE league.
