In a comprehensive interview on the 'Hat-Trick' program, the head coach of Al-Shorta Club, Moamen Suleiman, launched a series of statements that confirmed his deep belonging and strong connection to the club and the Iraqi fans, reiterating his readiness to lead the national team without compensation, as he sees Iraq as his second home.

The Egyptian coach said that the defeat against Al-Zawraa came at an appropriate time and gave the team a boost to reflect and prepare stronger, explaining:

"That defeat was a positive slap; we benefited greatly from it in terms of the team's technical character."

He also praised goalkeeper Ahmed Basel, confirming that he is a key element in the playing style he adopts with the team, alongside his clear admiration for Ali Al-Shahmani, considering him one of the main reasons for winning the league title.

Regarding his coaching experience in Iraq, Moamen Suleiman expressed his great admiration for the atmosphere, saying:

"I have worked in the Netherlands, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, but the only country where I did not feel alienated is Iraq"

adding with endearing sarcasm that Iraq has become closer to his heart, and that he has become so attached to Al-Shorta Club that he cannot leave it.

He also sharply criticized the refereeing performance and the VAR technology in the league, saying that each VAR case took about 7 minutes! Indicating that Al-Shorta played three matches with foreign referees without the technology being used in any of them.

On the other hand, he revealed that he rejected an offer from Egyptian club Zamalek after just three matches with Al-Shorta, confirming his complete loyalty to the Iraqi club and his readiness to renew his contract and stay for the next season, even personally overseeing the new contracts.

Regarding the Iraqi national team, Moamen surprised everyone when he said:

"If I were asked to coach Iraq in the playoffs, I would agree without any financial request, and I consider it a way to repay the kindness of the Iraqi people and Al-Shorta Club."

He criticized the former Iraqi national team coach, Jesus Casas, saying he is "the best player analyst in the world, not an experienced coach," calling for the necessity of calling up expatriates based on their actual performance, not just their names.

He concluded his talk with a message to Al-Shorta fans:

"Honesty is the foundation of my work at the club, and I will continue to work with all my strength to bring back the joy of football that has started to gradually disappear. Our goal is clear.. to maintain the lead and create a team that will be recognized."
