Gamal Abdel Hamid: Shehata and Ismail Deserve to Join the National Team

Gamal Abdel Hamid, the former Zamalek and Egypt national team star, confirmed that Mohamed Shehata and Mohamed Ismail deserved to join the national team for the World Cup.

Jamal Abdel Hamid, during his statements on the "Man to Man" program with media host Omar Rabie Yassin, pointed out that the performance delivered by the duo with Zamalek last season qualified them to get an opportunity with the Pharaohs.

The former Zamalek star added that the White team, as the league champion, was supposed to have the largest share of players joining the national team. He explained that a team that asserts itself over an entire season and wins the title deserves to have a larger number of its players relied upon in the national team.

He also expressed his astonishment at the large number of Al Ahly players on the list, stating that he expected greater representation of Zamalek players after the strong season the team had and the results they achieved throughout the tournament.
