Tebas Confirms Barcelona's Return to 1:1 Rule
Thursday 03-07-2025
Catalan newspaper 'Sport' reported that FC Barcelona received an official notice from the president of the Spanish League, Javier Tebas, stating the return to the 1:1 rule in the Financial Fair Play law.

The return to the 1:1 system means that Barcelona can spend one euro for every euro saved or earned, which gives them greater flexibility in the transfer market and allows them to operate relatively normally in the transfer window, as well as their ability to register new players.

This development comes at an important time for the Catalan club, which is looking to make several signings and strengthen the team according to the vision of coach Hans Flick in preparation for the 2025/2026 season.

It is worth noting that Barcelona has signed goalkeeper Juan Garcia and is finalizing a deal to sign Nico Williams, the winger from Athletic Bilbao.
