Wednesday 02-07-2025
Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamaradashvili is preparing to officially move to English club Liverpool, having left Spain with his agent on a private jet heading to the city of Liverpool. He is expected to arrive in Merseyside this Wednesday evening.

Liverpool announced last summer that they had signed Mamaradashvili from Spanish club Valencia, while the goalkeeper continued on loan at his former team until the end of the 2024/2025 season, before joining the Reds at the beginning of the new season.

The player is expected to undergo routine medical examinations upon arrival, in preparation for completing all formalities of his transfer. The 24-year-old goalkeeper expressed his excitement for taking on a new challenge in the Premier League, stating recently on his Instagram account: "I will not accept any more loans; I will play with Liverpool next season whether Alisson stays or not."

According to media reports, the deal is valued at 30 million euros, with an additional 5 million euros in bonuses and incentives, while Valencia retains 10% of the value of any future sale of the goalkeeper.

It is worth noting that Mamaradashvili has recently performed outstandingly with the Georgian national team in the Euro 2024 tournament, attracting the attention of several major European clubs.
