In exclusive statements made by the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, to "Iraq - winwin", he confirmed several key points regarding the future of Iraqi football, his relationship with Al-Zawraa Club, and the financial situation of the federation, indicating that the future will bring qualitative steps aimed at elevating the level of the league and national teams.

Darjal began his talk by emphasizing his historical relationship with Al-Zawraa Club, saying:

"I am a son of Al-Zawraa Club, and the best days of my life were spent in this great club. I have never fought against Al-Zawraa, and I wish it all the success; my heart is always with it."

He added: "It is illogical to spread rumors that I work against Al-Zawraa; I have been and still am part of its beautiful history."

The federation president addressed the level of the Iraqi league on the continental level, clarifying:

"The Iraqi league is currently ranked 12th in Asia, which is not fitting for a country like Iraq. We are working hard to improve our ranking, and our goal next season is to be among the top six leagues on the continent."

He confirmed: "Achieving this requires collective work, not just from the federation but from all relevant sports entities, including clubs, media, fans, and the ministry."

Regarding the refereeing performance this season, Darjal defended the referees by saying:

"Refereeing in the Iraqi league is considered the best in the region, despite some mistakes, but they are within the normal framework. We have great names that have proven their competence."

He added: "We continue to support the development of refereeing both locally and internationally through courses and technology to ensure we meet international standards."

From an administrative perspective, Darjal pointed out the existence of real financial challenges, clarifying:

"The budget of the Football Association does not cover more than 12% of the actual needs for a full football season, but we continue to work. We have partners and funding sources that we are seeking to expand."

He confirmed: "We are working under non-ideal conditions, but with determination and planning, we can overcome difficulties and continue development."

In conclusion, Darjal addressed the future of the national team, indicating that:

"The camp for the Iraqi national team is currently under study in coordination with coach Arnold. We are looking for the best place and time that suits the team's preparations for the upcoming playoff matches."
