Mohammed Muthanna: We aim to form an administrative body that serves Al-Zawraa as it deserves
Mohammed Muthanna, the head of the interim administrative body of Al-Zawraa Club, confirmed that the current mission of the body focuses on restoring administrative and organizational stability to the club, and working on forming a strong and effective administrative system that matches the name and history of the prestigious Al-Zawraa Club, after he officially took over the task following the Iraqi Olympic Committee's decision to form a temporary transitional administration.
In a statement during the program "Extra Time" broadcast on the screen of Al-Rabiaa Sports Channel, Muthanna said:
"We aim to form an administrative body that significantly benefits Al-Zawraa Club and is capable of taking responsibility during the transitional phase," pointing out that work has already begun to rearrange the internal affairs of Al-Zawraa.
He added:
"We are fully aware of the difficult circumstances that Al-Zawraa Club is experiencing at the administrative level, and there are studied steps we are taking to ensure the club returns to the right path, whether in terms of contracts, organizational structure, or preparation for the new season."
Muthanna continued:
"Al-Zawraa Club is not an ordinary club; it is a major football institution and a face of Iraqi football, and our duty during this period is to restore its status and prepare the appropriate ground for success at all levels."
The head of the interim body clarified that all members of the administration work as one team, and that there is continuous communication with supportive sports figures for the club, in addition to having a clear plan for preparing for the upcoming elections in a democratic and transparent manner.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi Olympic Committee had announced the formation of a new temporary body to manage Al-Zawraa Club, headed by engineer Mohammed Muthanna, with the membership of several prominent sports figures, as part of the efforts to reorganize the club in preparation for an anticipated electoral phase.
