As part of its efforts to strengthen its squad in preparation for the upcoming season, the Iraqi Police Club has entered serious negotiations with Duhok Club star, Ivorian Krahiri Yannick Zakri, with the aim of signing him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Special sources indicated that the Police Club is giving considerable attention to Zakri's services, who is considered one of the most prominent players of Duhok this season, due to his technical abilities and extensive experience in African and Arab leagues.

The player, born on March 26, 1991, has a rich record of experiences, having previously represented prominent clubs such as South Africa's Sundowns, Iraq's Naft Al-Wasat, Jordan's Al-Faisaly, and the Netherlands' Ajax Amsterdam, which gives him an advantage in adapting to the atmosphere of local competitions.

In the current season with Duhok, he has played 27 matches, scoring two goals and assisting three others, while receiving seven yellow cards, indicating his offensive effectiveness and active movements, along with a degree of sharpness in defensive performance.

Zakri is proficient in playing on both flanks, as a right and left winger, and he also excels in the role of playmaker behind the striker, making him a versatile option on any coach's tactical map.

His current market value is 150,000 euros, making him a financially available deal that could be sportingly profitable considering the Police's need for attacking elements capable of making a difference in major confrontations, especially after recently being crowned the Iraqi Stars League champion for the fourth consecutive time.
