Ribeiro Excludes Attia Allah from Considerations Against Palmeiras
Tuesday 17-06-2025
Spanish coach José Ribeiro, the head coach of Al Ahly, has decided not to include Moroccan Yahya Attia Allah in the match against Brazilian Palmeiras next Thursday, as part of the second round of Group A in the FIFA Club World Cup.

According to reports, Ribeiro rejected a suggestion to replace Yahya Attia Allah with the duo Ahmed Kouka and Karim Al-Dubis, due to the experience that the Moroccan player possesses.

However, the coach remained firm in his decision to exclude Attia from his considerations, after settling on not activating the purchase clause of his contract from Russian Sochi after the loan ends following the tournament.

On its part, reports confirmed that the Al Ahly administration decided not to keep Attia Allah with the team for the upcoming season due to his underwhelming performance in the past period.

Ribeiro will rely on either Kouka or Al-Dubis on the left flank during the match against Palmeiras, in which Al Ahly aims to achieve victory after a goalless draw against Inter Miami last Sunday.
