Ahmed Hassan stated via Facebook: "Source.. Sief El-Geziri has dues exceeding two million dollars until the end of his contract, and Zamalek will be obliged to find an amicable solution in case of his departure."
The player had renewed his contract with Zamalek recently for two more seasons.
Zamalek is looking to sign a distinguished foreign striker during the summer transfer window and has entered negotiations with Clément Mzizi, the star of Young Africans from Tanzania, to include him in the team.
