Reports have revealed that Croatian star Luka Modric, a player for Real Madrid, is preparing to undergo medical examinations ahead of his joining AC Milan during the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid officially announced Modric's departure following the conclusion of his participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, allowing him to complete his transfer to Milan in a free transfer deal.

According to Sky Sports, Modric is scheduled to undergo a medical examination after finishing his participation in the global tournament, which will kick off next Sunday in the United States.

The FIFA Club World Cup is considered the final stop for the Croatian star in a Real Madrid jersey, as the royal team is placed in Group H alongside Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal, Austria's Red Bull Salzburg, and Mexico's Pachuca.

Real Madrid will begin their journey in the tournament by facing Al Hilal next Wednesday at 10 PM Cairo time.
