Tamer Abdel Hamid: Zamalek Needs Many New Signings
Tamer Abdel Hamid, the former Zamalek star, congratulated the White Knights on winning the Egypt Cup.
Zamalek defeated Pyramids 8-7 on penalties in the final match of the tournament after the regular time and extra time ended in a 1-1 draw.
Tamer Abdel Hamid said during the "Stadium Al-Mahwar" program: "Congratulations to Zamalek and its fans for winning the Egypt Cup, but the team needs many new signings during the current summer transfer window before the start of the new football season."
He added: "The new season will be tough for Zamalek due to Al Ahly and Pyramids, as Pyramids has a strong team that can compete for all titles."
He concluded his remarks: "Mahmoud Bentaïg is the signing of the season for Zamalek and has added a lot to the club, and in my opinion, Pyramids is coming strongly to compete with Al Ahly and Zamalek."
