Real Madrid has officially announced the victory of French star Kylian Mbappe for the Best Player award for the 2024/2025 season, following a fan vote on the official website of the royal club.

Despite Real Madrid not winning any domestic or European titles this season, except for the Intercontinental Cup in December and the UEFA Super Cup in the summer, Mbappe had an exceptional individual season.

Mbappe scored 43 goals in 56 matches across all competitions and played a crucial role in the team's success in both tournaments, also claiming the La Liga top scorer title with 31 goals and winning the European Golden Shoe.

After receiving the award, Mbappe expressed his happiness, saying: "I am grateful to the Real Madrid fans and everyone who voted for me. My first season in Spain has been a wonderful experience both personally and professionally."

He added: "I quickly adapted to the team and the new environment, and this is reflected in my performance on the field. I am very happy here."

He concluded his remarks by expressing his excitement to participate in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup: "I look forward to this tournament with passion; it is an opportunity for us to become world champions, and I hope we can make history in the United States."
