Endrick: Football is Not a Nice Place
Thursday 30-04-2026
The young Brazilian striker Endrick has returned to the spotlight once again after a difficult period with Real Madrid, before moving on loan to French club Lyon where he gradually regained his form.

The 19-year-old player scored 7 goals and provided 7 assists in 18 matches, which reopened the door to the Brazilian national team for him before coach Carlo Ancelotti announced the World Cup squad.

Endrick spoke candidly about the pressures he faced, confirming that he experienced a 'night of doubt' before Brazil's match against Croatia, when he felt it might be his last chance to prove himself.

He also admitted that he was previously affected by comments on social media, but today he has become more mature and completely avoids this type of pressure, focusing only on his performance on the field.

On a personal level, the player revealed an important human aspect of his life, as he is expecting his first child at the end of this year, expressing his desire for his child to live a normal life away from the pressures of football. He clearly stated that football is 'not a nice place,' and he hopes his son becomes a doctor or a lawyer instead of entering this pressure-filled world.

Endrick did not forget to praise his teammates at Real Madrid, especially Jude Bellingham and Luka Modric, affirming that Bellingham helped him a lot in his early days at the club, while he described Modric as one of the greatest he has played with. Now, the Brazilian striker is focusing on the remaining matches with Lyon, hoping to secure his place in Brazil's squad for the upcoming World Cup.
