Khaled Ghandour, the former Zamalek star, commented on the controversy regarding the possibility of canceling relegation in football tournaments.
Ghandour said via Facebook: "The laws and regulations of football anywhere in the world, if relegation is canceled, it means canceling the champion as if the tournament never took place at all."
He added, clarifying: "As long as there is a champion, there are relegated teams, and vice versa."
Al Ahly is close to securing the Egyptian Premier League title as they lead the league table with 55 points, followed by Pyramids with 53 points before the final round.
