Saturday 24-05-2025
Ayman Ramadi, the coach of Zamalek Club, revealed details about his serious injury during the team's camp in Ismailia, ahead of the match against Petrojet scheduled for Saturday, as part of the Egyptian Premier League.

Ramadi stated in his remarks at the press conference prior to the match on Friday: "The injury curse has affected me during the Ismailia camp."

He continued: "I suffered a sprain and partial tear in the knee cartilage, and I followed yesterday's training from the field due to the injury, and things are better for me at the moment. After the Egypt Cup final, I will undergo knee arthroscopy."

He also addressed the numerous injuries within Zamalek, saying: "The injuries that the team is suffering from are very difficult, and no one is responsible for them except for the workload, and the medical staff is not to blame."

He added: "When I took over, I discovered that there were issues beyond the medical staff that need to be addressed, and we are reaping the consequences of a full season. I respect all viewpoints, and we need to work more precisely with the players to avoid them being highly susceptible to injuries."

He continued: "We absolve the medical staff because they have faced a lot of criticism recently, and I do not like to blame others. I am directly responsible for any matter in the team, and my role is to take responsibility and protect the working staff."

He pointed out that the return of injured players to matches and training is everyone's responsibility, mentioning that Mahmoud Jahad is close to returning, while Ahmed Al-Jafali's situation will be assessed in the upcoming period.

Regarding the Petrojet match, he said: "Zamalek is preparing well for tomorrow's match, which is considered a preparation for the Egypt Cup final. There have been many positives achieved recently, and I hope the team can be complete despite the injuries we are suffering from, and I expect all players to return within about a week."

He continued: "It was planned to have a camp for 4 days, but due to certain circumstances, the camp was reduced to 2 days in Ismailia, which was beneficial for the team. We must deal with the developments, and the team is taking good steps to appear in the best shape, and there is motivation among the players, without exaggeration."

He concluded: "The return of Shikabala to training? I love players of value on the field, especially since a talented player with specific touches adds to me personally, and this is a good thing."
