The president of Al-Najaf Sports Club, in a special statement to "Kooora" website, denied the statements attributed to him which claimed that the call-up of his player Mohammed Qasim to the national team came "on the condition of his transfer to Al-Zawraa Club," indicating that what has been circulated is "completely unfounded" and has no relation to the truth.

The club president said: "I was surprised by the circulation of fabricated news attributed to me unjustly, and it seems that there are those trying to mix the cards and confuse the player's and the national team's entitlements by promoting rumors aimed at covering up dishonest practices within some clubs."

He added: "I categorically refuse to involve the name of the president of the Olympic Committee, Aqeel Muftin, in such lies, and I confirm that Mohammed Qasim was called up to the national team based on his technical readiness and outstanding performance, and this has nothing to do with any transfers or conditions."

He concluded his remarks by affirming that Al-Najaf Club will retain its legal right to pursue the entities or individuals who deliberately spread this misleading information, warning against the continuation of spreading rumors that harm the reputation of the club and the players alike.
