Joan Laporta, the president of FC Barcelona, confirmed that the club will make changes to the team's lineup this summer, and he closed the door on the possibility of signing Nico Williams in the upcoming transfer window.

Laporta said in a press interview: "There will be changes in our team this summer, as our rivals will strengthen their squads because they see that our team is the best at the moment."

He added: "Nico Williams? We evaluated Nico as a potential signing last summer along with Dani Olmo, but at the moment I believe the club is interested in other players."

Regarding renewing Szczęsny's contract: "We signed Szczęsny for his experience, and we offered him a new contract; we hope he continues with us."

He continued: "The renewals for Raphinha and Iñigo are also in advanced stages. We want to complete all renewals, and then we will sign new players."

He concluded: "Lamine Yamal has already agreed to the offer to renew his contract; all we need is his signature once he turns eighteen."
