Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, confirmed that his main goal at this stage is to ensure qualification for the Champions League next season, pointing out the importance of facing Bournemouth in the 37th round of the Premier League.

Guardiola said: "We played a great final recently, but it wasn't enough to win. We have two matches left, and we need four points to secure our qualification for the Champions League, and everyone must understand this well."

He added: "We will see if some injured players will be able to return against Bournemouth. Rodri is improving day by day, and we will assess his condition during the evening training."

Regarding the Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, he said: "Will Haaland take the next penalty? I haven't talked to them yet; we have training in the afternoon, and the striker needs to start scoring goals."

Guardiola clarified his stance on European qualification, stating: "If we don't qualify for the Champions League, it means we don't deserve it, and we will participate in the Europa League. That is the reality."

On the team's star Kevin De Bruyne, Guardiola said: "What De Bruyne wants is to win the next match and qualify for the Champions League; it cannot be different. I will choose the best available players to win against Bournemouth."

He concluded his statements regarding the Club World Cup, saying: "I haven't spoken with De Bruyne yet about his potential participation in the Club World Cup."
