Tamer Abdel Hamid Donja's Comment on the Appeals Committee Decision
Tamer Abdel Hamid Donja, the former Zamalek star, expressed his surprise at Al Ahly's withdrawal against Zamalek in the top match last March and commented on the Appeals Committee's decision regarding this crisis.
The Appeals Committee decided not to deduct 3 points from Al Ahly by the end of the current season, aside from the points related to the match in which they were considered defeated, with the club bearing the losses resulting from what happened.
Tamer Abdel Hamid said on the "Stadium Al-Mihr" program: "It is possible that the international sports court will approve the appeals decision as it is an internal matter."
He added: "I do not know the reason for Al Ahly's withdrawal from the top match, and their chances of winning were greater than Zamalek's. Al Ahly will be crowned the league title, and Pyramids helped them achieve this with two consecutive defeats."
He continued: "Al Ahly is doing well with Al Nahhas, and Pyramids is at risk of losing more points."
