Conceição: We Will Play Without Fear, and Pressure is Part of Milan's History
Sergio Conceição, the head coach of AC Milan, made strong statements during the press conference held on Tuesday evening at the Olimpico Stadium, ahead of the match against Bologna in the Coppa Italia final scheduled for Wednesday.
Conceição said: "Pressure? It's part of Milan's history. Playing in a big club like this means you always live under the pressure of results and expectations, and that's normal. What matters to us is to focus on the match and handle it with the utmost readiness."
He continued: "This stadium gave me wonderful memories as a player, but today I am a coach, and all I think about is leading my team to win a new title. We face a strong opponent who fights for every ball, and we must show the same fighting spirit."
He added: "I will not reveal the lineup now. I haven't told Jimenez or Jovic who will start, even the players don't know who will be in the starting lineup."
He continued: "We have prepared excellently. We played against Bologna a few days ago and won 3-1, but tomorrow's match is completely different. Finals have a special character and require full concentration from the first minute."
He confirmed: "Leao is fine and will participate in training this evening. We hope he will be 100% ready, as Bologna have regained some of their important players like Ndoye, Holm, and Odegaard."
Conceição touched on the collective spirit within the team, saying: "The substitute players have contributed greatly to our recent results, which is a testament to the unity of the group and their respect for the coaching staff. We have seen more than once how substitutes change the course of the match in our favor, and this reflects the team's mentality."
Conceição concluded his statements by saying: "Winning this title would be a great reward for us in a tough season. We play without fear, just with adrenaline and passion. We know the value of the match and want to make our fans happy with a new title and a chance for European appearance next season."
