Leeds United has begun preparations for the new season of the Premier League, prioritizing the goalkeeper position in the summer transfer market, amidst strong rumors of their interest in signing Serbian goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic, a Chelsea player currently on loan at Strasbourg in France.

According to media reports, Petrovic is at the top of the list of candidates to strengthen Leeds' goalkeeping department, following his remarkable performance this season with Strasbourg, where he played 29 matches and achieved 10 clean sheets, in addition to having the highest save percentage in Ligue 1 at 76.8%.

Leeds management has lost confidence in French goalkeeper Illan Meslier, who was excluded in the final rounds of the Championship season, and he is expected to be sold this summer.

Leeds hopes to convince Petrovic to join the team by offering him the chance to play regularly in the Premier League, given the difficulty of him getting an opportunity with Chelsea under the management of Enzo Maresca, which may push the Blues to sell him to finance other deals.
