Al-Zawraa coach Haider Obeid praised his players' performance after the dramatic victory over Diyala with a score of 1-0 in the 97th minute, during the 32nd round of the Iraqi Stars League, confirming that the team faced a complex tactical match and succeeded in breaking the defensive blockade in the final moments, emphasizing the importance of continuing to fight for the league title.

He said: "The match was very difficult from all aspects; we faced a very organized team in defense, and Diyala knew how to close the avenues and deal with long and cross balls, so we consumed a long time trying to penetrate this organization."

He added: "We needed calmness and focus, especially after the goal by Tomiwa was disallowed for offside, and this type of situation can psychologically affect the team, but our players were up to the responsibility and continued to pressure until we achieved what was needed."

He continued: "This victory proves that Al-Zawraa has the character of a champion; winning in the last minute gives a huge morale boost, and now we must invest this spirit in the upcoming rounds because every point has become crucial."
