Qouqia: We Play for the Fans and Will Fight Until the Last Breath

Al-Zawra star Hassan Abdul Karim 'Qouqia' expressed his great happiness after his team achieved a last-minute victory over their guest Diyala with a goal to none in the 97th minute, in the 32nd round of the Iraqi Stars League, confirming that high spirit and determination were the secret to the difficult victory.

He said: "We faced a very organized opponent, the Diyala team defended excellently throughout the match and closed off almost all our options, but as players, we were determined to achieve victory no matter the circumstances, and we refused to give up until the last moment."

He added: "We played in front of a large crowd, and it is unacceptable to disappoint them, especially in a pivotal match like this one. The feeling is indescribable when you see your fans standing with you and cheering you until the last second, and as players, we are obligated to repay this loyalty on the field."

He continued: "The goal we scored was not just three points, but a confirmation of the champion's character, and today the team proved that it has a group capable of fighting under pressure and achieving victory even in the toughest moments."

He added: "I am happy that I contributed to the winning goal; it was a moment of focus and collective connection among the players, and striker Mamadou utilized the cross and scored a wonderful goal. This is a collective effort before it is an individual one."
