Gavi: There are those who wanted to keep us away from the final
Barcelona midfielder Gavi commented on the elimination from the semi-finals of the Champions League, following a 4-3 loss to Inter in the second leg, noting that the first leg ended in a 3-3 draw.
The match witnessed several refereeing decisions that did not favor the Catalan team.
Gavi wrote on his Instagram account: "What happened is difficult, especially since we were close to winning, but there are those who wanted to keep us away from the final out of fear given the season we are having."
He added: "It doesn't matter to them how many years have passed without us winning the Champions League, knowing the difficulty of the matter, and I wish to win it every year."
He continued: "I am sure we will win the title if we are all united as we usually are, I know this will happen, even though we are not in a good position right now, we can end this season by winning three titles despite the fact that we wouldn't have won anything before the start of this season."
He concluded: "It has been a great season despite this setback, let’s fight with all our strength in Montjuïc on Sunday and win."
