New Statement from Zamalek Regarding Zizo's Crisis

Tuesday 29-04-2025
The Board of Directors of Zamalek Club issued an official statement regarding the crisis of Ahmed Sayed Zizo with the team and his absence from training.

The text of the statement is as follows: "Zamalek Club, through Dr. Kamal Shaib, the club's legal advisor, responded to the warning sent by its current player Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed 'Zizo', after the warning contained misleading and offensive information about the club and its management, in addition to including incorrect financial demands.

The response from Zamalek Club included several points clarifying the club's position, as follows:

First: Everything mentioned in the player's warning is untrue and completely unfounded, and there are no fears or dangers that justify his absence from training.

Second: The player's absence from training and matches constitutes a serious breach of his contract, causing severe damage to the club and its results in competitions.

Third: Everything the player stated regarding his entitlement to the amounts mentioned in his warning has no basis in fact, and what he mentioned concerning clause number '8' of the sixth article as a 'due bonus' is incorrect; in addition to the fact that this phrase was never mentioned in the contract and was inserted into the warning contrary to what is established in the contract, the amounts mentioned in this clause are considered the net amount due to the player for the three seasons, as the contractual compensation specified in the second clause of the contract, after deducting the taxes and fees owed by the player, according to what is stated in the fourth clause, paragraph '6', of his contract with the club, which fully aligns with what both parties explicitly and in writing agreed upon.

Fourth: Emphasizing to the player the need to promptly provide the club with all contracts related to advertising and media in which he has appeared, so that the club can complete the settlement of all financial matters between the two parties.

Fifth: Requesting the player to provide a sufficient explanation as to whether he has indeed approached the United States Embassy to obtain a visa to participate in the Club World Cup.

Sixth: Reiterating to the player the necessity of respecting his contract with the club, and his commitment to attend training sessions, camps, and matches, while the club continues to apply financial penalties against him according to the provisions of the regulations, and taking all legal measures to preserve the club's rights.
