Officially: FIFA Announces Suspension of Zamalek Club Registration
The International Football Federation has included the Egyptian Zamalek Club in the list of clubs temporarily prohibited from registering new players, through the registration suspension portal on its official website, alongside Wadi Degla Club.
The federation clarified that this list includes clubs facing financial or organizational problems, including disputes with players or coaches whose dues have not been settled yet.
Although no official statement has been issued specifying the direct reason for the suspension of Zamalek's registration, the club is facing a number of pending cases with former team members demanding their overdue payments. It is worth mentioning that Zamalek Club has previously faced similar sanctions in recent years, before being able to resolve them and pay the required amounts.
Zamalek is preparing to face a decisive match against Pyramids in the Egypt Cup final, scheduled for May 20, which is considered the last opportunity for the white team to save its season.
