Andrei Cury, the players' agent, revealed the behind-the-scenes of Vinicius Junior's failed transfer to Barcelona when he was a player for Brazilian Flamengo.
Cury said in a press interview: "When I was working at Barcelona, the player's agents asked us to hold a meeting; everything was ready for signing Vinicius's transfer contracts to Barcelona."
He added: "In the end, the player's family and agents decided to change their stance in a non-transparent way, but that's okay; this is the world of football."
Vinicius's transfer to Real Madrid in 2018 for 45 million euros has made him one of the most prominent players in the world today.
