Hazem Imam: Zamalek's Attempts to Extend Hossam Abdel-Meguid's Contract Failed
Hazem Imam, a member of the planning committee at Zamalek Club, revealed that Hossam Abdel Meguid, the star of the first team, is refusing to extend his contract after being linked to Al Ahly at this time.
Hazem Imam stated in his remarks that the Zamalek administration held a meeting with Hossam Abdel Meguid to discuss his future, but no agreement was reached regarding the extension of his contract.
He explained that Abdel Meguid has two and a half seasons left on his contract, and no agreement has been made between the player and the club regarding the extension so far.
He continued: "So is the solution not to let him participate during this period? If we do that, we will not have players to participate in the matches."
He concluded: "Hossam Abdel Meguid insists on rejecting the offer to amend his contract and wants to postpone discussions about his future, despite being placed in the top salary bracket within the club and receiving a contract grant."
