Arteta: I Feel Sad, We Wanted the Three Points
Arsenal star Mikel Arteta appeared in press statements after the 1-1 draw against Everton in the 31st round of the Premier League.
The coach said: "I am very sad, especially with the result. It’s a tough match against a physically strong and direct team. The start of the second half was very bad; we lost the ball and felt insecure, then the penalty decision was made against us, which to me was never a penalty."
He added: "The match had just started in the second half, and we wanted to regain some momentum. We never reached that because the match became completely different."
He continued: "Regarding physical strength: it’s always like that, and it’s a significant strength in the Premier League, and we have to deal with it and coexist with it like many other teams in the Premier League."
On the positives: "We had some very dangerous chances, but we didn’t finish them well except for the goal. They created absolutely nothing, so it’s very disappointing to concede a goal."
About drawing in 11 matches: "We need to win many more matches."
He concluded: "We wanted the three points; we want everything as we planned. We performed well and managed to rest some players, but we want the three points."
