Milan Clarifies Its Position on Rafael Leao's Departure
Saturday 29-03-2025
Chelsea continues its efforts to sign Portuguese star Rafael Leao during the upcoming summer transfer window, but Milan is determined to keep its player, even if the team fails to qualify for the Champions League.

According to "Football Italy," Chelsea is considering making a formal offer for Leao, especially since he is among several players at Milan, alongside Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez, who could be candidates to leave if the team misses out on the European competition.

However, Milan is not thinking about selling Leao, as the player is under contract until 2028 and has a release clause of €175 million, making any deal extremely complicated. Reports have also confirmed that the Italian club will not entertain any offers below €100 million.

It is worth mentioning that Leao has been a target for several clubs in recent months, having received offers from the Saudi league in January, and Chelsea has begun talks with his agent Jorge Mendes this March, but Milan's position remains firm in not letting go of its star.

Previous reports have also indicated that Barcelona has shown interest in the player in order to sign him and include him in their squad.
