Ancelotti: I agree with Flick, and this is my response to Tebas
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti appeared in a press conference to discuss tomorrow's match against Leganés in the 29th round of La Liga, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
The coach said: "The team is doing well. The players returning from international duty have had enough time to recover. They have returned well. Tomorrow marks the start of the final phase of the season. We have many matches ahead and we want to perform well."
He added: "We are participating in all competitions, and the responsibilities increase with every match because each of us is capable of being decisive in the fight for all the titles we want to win."
Regarding rotation tomorrow: "The players have returned and trained well. They are in good shape. We have many matches ahead, and I have the opportunity to rotate in some of them. You will be able to see the lineup tomorrow."
On Javier Tebas's statements about making substitutions after the 85th minute: "I already knew about his obsession with Real Madrid, but I didn't know he wanted to become a coach. He should focus more on his own affairs, as he shows some disrespect to Real Madrid and the coaches as well."
He added: "Did I talk to Ronaldo about coaching the Brazilian national team? I don't remember discussing this with Ronaldo. Did I communicate with the Brazilian federation? No, I have a contract with Real Madrid. I love Brazil, its players, and its fans, but I have a contract here."
He continued: "Have I settled La Liga? No, Barcelona has the advantage, but we have El Clásico and many matches left. We have to do everything we can, starting from tomorrow. We have 17 matches left, which means we will fight in every competition until the end."
Regarding whether there are people wanting him to leave: "No, I have many things to think about. I am focused on this stage of the season, which is important for us. My job is to gather the players' focus to achieve the best possible performance. We have something very close and we don't want to lose it."
On accusations of tax evasion: "There are many topics to discuss. I have to go and testify, and I will do so on Wednesday. This is not a topic for discussion; what will happen next week is the appeal filed by the public prosecutor. I won the first trial, and I trust the law and justice completely. I am not worried. It bothers me that they say I committed fraud, but I will testify about it enthusiastically."
Regarding UEFA's investigation into players' celebrations in the derby: "We trust UEFA. We believe everything was correct. We are waiting for UEFA to provide us with some explanations, but we are confident that everything will go well; we did nothing wrong."
On Hans Flick's complaint: "He is complaining, and I understand him; he is lacking players. I agree with what he said: Real Madrid is not Barcelona."
He concluded: "Thibaut Courtois is suffering from a minor injury, and he can recover in a few days. We are waiting for Mendy and Ceballos to participate in the first leg of the Champions League against Arsenal."
