English Competition Threatens Barcelona's New Deal

Monday 24-03-2025
Barcelona is facing the danger of losing the opportunity to sign German defender Jonathan Tah, a Bayer Leverkusen player, during the upcoming summer transfer window, due to interest from English clubs.

According to "Mundo Deportivo" newspaper, Tah has decided not to renew his contract with Leverkusen, as he intends to move to Barcelona in the summer of 2026 for free, in order to play under the management of Hans Flick, who previously coached him with the German national team.

Despite Tah's desire to wear the Barcelona jersey, the Catalan club is facing a strong threat from Liverpool and Tottenham, who are seeking to sign him during the summer transfer window.

The German defender has participated in 39 matches this season with Bayer Leverkusen across various competitions, successfully providing two assists, making him one of the key players in the team's lineup.
