Real Madrid Identifies Luka Modric's Successor
Saturday 22-03-2025
It seems that Real Madrid has identified the replacement for Croatian star Luka Modric in midfield, in preparation for signing him during the upcoming summer transfer window, as the player's contract is set to expire on June 30, 2025.

According to the 'Fichajes' network, Real Madrid does not plan to sign Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea or Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, as recently rumored, but sees the German Angelo Stiller from Stuttgart as the ideal option to replace Modric.

Reports indicate that the exclusion of Enzo and Zubimendi is not only due to economic aspects, but also because Real Madrid is looking for a player who better fits the team's playing philosophy. Stiller has a release clause in his contract with Stuttgart worth €36.5 million, a sum within the reach of the royal club's management.

Angelo Stiller, who is 23 years old, has a contract with Stuttgart until June 30, 2028, but Real Madrid may move to activate the release clause to sign him in the coming months, as part of their plan to renew the midfield following Toni Kroos's retirement and Modric's impending departure.
