Zamalek's Letter to the Olympic Committee
Zamalek Club has entered the fray regarding the crisis with Al Ahly and the Clubs Association to ascertain the latest details of the complaint submitted by the Red Giant in light of the summit match crisis.
Al Ahly had submitted a complaint to the Olympic Committee against the Clubs Association after deducting 3 points from the Red's score due to their withdrawal from the match against Zamalek, in addition to financial penalties.
The statement from Zamalek Club was as follows:
The Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, headed by Captain Hussein Labib, submitted an official letter today, Tuesday, to Engineer Yasser Idris, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, requesting intervention in the complaint regarding the procedures related to the summit match at Cairo Stadium last Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Zamalek Club confirmed that it is a principal party in the complaint and has a direct interest in it, and attached to its request a legal memorandum submitted by Dr. Kamal Shaib, the club's legal advisor.
Zamalek Club also sent two letters today to both the Egyptian Football Association and the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, objecting to what was included in the last paragraph of the letter from the Clubs Association sent to Zamalek regarding its decisions on the penalties for the summit match.
