Barrios: Usually, we are the ones who achieve the comeback, but today we were the victims
Atlético Madrid player Pablo Barrios made important statements to the press following the defeat against Barcelona with a score of 4-2 in the Spanish league.
Barrios noted that the team usually performs comebacks, but this time they were the ones affected, saying: "Usually, we are the ones who achieve the comeback, but today we were the victims; it’s unfortunate."
He added: "We now have a little time to rest; the match schedule is always busy, and there’s no solution but to keep working to achieve the results we aspire to."
Regarding the decisive matches remaining this season, Barrios confirmed that the team still has a chance to achieve something important: "Our matches against Real Madrid and Barcelona are always competitive; we’ve won, lost, and drawn, but we’ve always put in strong performances against them. There are still 10 rounds left in the league, along with the Copa del Rey semi-finals. We will have fewer matches compared to them, which gives us an additional advantage; we will continue to fight until the end."
