Opta Network revealed that Arsenal and Atletico Madrid recorded the largest number of matches across all competitions during the 2025/2026 season among the clubs of Europe's top five leagues.
According to the same source, Arsenal has played 57 matches this season so far, while Atletico Madrid has played 55 matches, placing them at the top of the list of teams with the most matches played during the current season.
The two teams are now facing each other at the Metropolitano Stadium in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
