Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta spoke to the press after the 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the 29th round of the Premier League.

The coach said: "We had to deliver a much better performance, but we are extremely happy, it was an important match. We faced a strong opponent, and the team played with an incredible fighting spirit, and now we move on to the international break."

Regarding the competition for the Premier League title: "The only thing we can do is try to win our matches. If we do that, we will be in a better position."

On Mikel Merino playing in attack: "We have been missing key players for long months. Our team has an incredible ability to endure. Mikel really wants to perform well; he hasn't played in this position before, but he is scoring goals. He is a very dangerous player inside the box, and he can help us. I am very happy, even from a physical standpoint, it is a completely different game to play as a forward."

On Bukayo Saka's return after the international break: "He has a good chance, yes."
