Biserro: Zamalek Was Better and More Positive Against Smouha
Jose Biserro, the coach of Zamalek, spoke about the victory his team achieved over Smouha on Saturday evening.
Zamalek won against Smouha with a score of 4-2 in the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup.
Biserro said in the press conference after the match: "It is not logical for the opponent to have 4 chances against Zamalek's goal and score two goals from set pieces. I am not happy with my team conceding two goals in today's match."
He continued: "The second half was different, and we succeeded in scoring 3 goals while the opponent failed to score. Zamalek deserves to win this match."
He added: "Smouha had two chances in the second half, and we will work on correcting the mistakes and improving the team defensively. I salute the players for the victory in today's match."
He went on: "When I start with a specific formation, I have confidence in all the players participating in the match, and the substitutes are also at a good level."
He continued: "The team plays in more than one way. Our first solution is to play in a 3-4-3 formation, and then we changed the formation. The team played the first half well in a 3-4-3 formation, and our problem lies in set pieces."
He concluded: "Zamalek played well in the first half, but I was only dissatisfied with the set pieces that the opponent exploited to score. The match was open, and Zamalek was better and more positive."
