Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin appeared in press statements after the 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano in the 27th round of La Liga.

The goalkeeper said: "In the first half, we controlled the match. It was a shame that the goal against us came in the last minute of the first half when they were lucky. In the second half, the match became complicated because Rayo played aggressively."

He added: "We play every three days, and all matches are very difficult because we are fighting in all competitions. Today, those who came on from the bench helped a lot; these are three very important points, and then we have a very important match awaiting us."

Regarding the preparation for the derby, he said: "We prepare for every match in the same way because we are fighting in all competitions. We must have commitment and responsibility. We all understand the motto we are playing for."

On facing Atletico Madrid, he stated: "It’s the Champions League, which is the club's competition, and we know the responsibility on our shoulders. It’s a derby match, and it will be tough; we will prepare as best as we can and give our utmost effort."
