According to what was published by the Spanish newspaper "AS", Abdullah Keita was detained on Monday, March 6, 2025, by the Spanish Civil Guard due to a mistake in identifying the person involved in a brawl dating back to September 2022.

The newspaper clarified that the player's brother and cousins were involved in the altercation at the time, but the complainant made an error in identifying the main suspect, leading to Keita being reported instead of his brother.

After reviewing the evidence, Keita was released immediately and is ready to participate with Getafe in the upcoming match against Atletico Madrid on Sunday, March 9, 2025, as part of the 27th round of La Liga.
