Ángel Torres, the president of Getafe, has revealed negotiations to sign English winger Jadon Sancho, while Spanish midfielder Dani Parejo is also a potential option. The final picture regarding both transfers is expected to become clear over the next week.

Torres stated in remarks to Movistar Plus: "We were unable to compensate for Ouchi's injury. We are talking with Sancho, as we did three or four months ago, and Parejo could also be another option."

Getafe's president added: "By next week, it will be possible to confirm whether we will succeed in completing these negotiations or not," referring to the impending decision regarding the club's stance on the two transfers.

These moves come as Getafe aim to bolster their ranks, having signed Spanish full-back Daniel Carvajal and registered him in LaLiga. However, completing the signings of Jadon Sancho and Dani Parejo may be hindered by financial requirements, especially in the case of the English winger, whose financial demands are expected to be higher than those of Parejo, considering the age and market value difference.

According to the report, Torres may have to provide personal financial guarantees to facilitate one of the transfers, while coach José Bordalás is inclined to sign Sancho, believing the team needs an attacking winger despite the potential high cost of the deal.

Jadon Sancho recalls his experience with Mason Greenwood.

Getafe hope to replicate the success achieved by English striker Mason Greenwood under Bordalás, after he delivered impressive performances during his time with the team, despite the doubts surrounding his career before moving to the Spanish club.

Sancho shares English nationality with Greenwood and has previously played for Manchester United, alongside possessing great individual skills. This encourages Getafe to bet on Sancho's ability to regain his form in LaLiga.

Jadon Sancho, 26, has been without a club since June 30 after his contract with Manchester United expired. He spent last season on loan at Aston Villa under manager Unai Emery, failing to deliver the expected numbers, managing only two assists in the Premier League, along with one goal and another assist in the UEFA Europa League.

Sancho's market value reached €130 million in 2020, according to the report, and he finished second in the Golden Boy award in 2019, behind Portuguese João Félix.

Next week is expected to be crucial in determining whether Getafe will be able to sign Sancho or Parejo, in a move through which the club aims to strengthen its options before completing the season's competitions.
