Getafe consider signing Jadon Sancho on a free transfer
Getafe are interested in signing English winger Jadon Sancho, 26, as part of their efforts to bolster their attacking options, according to journalist Pablo Bento via DAZN.
Sancho is admired by coach José Bordalás for his dribbling ability and impact in one-on-one situations, as well as his capability to play on both the right and left wings. The Madrid club is currently exploring possible ways to complete the transfer, which appears complicated due to its financial requirements.
Getafe's main obstacle in signing the English player is his salary, which amounts to around four million euros, a figure that exceeds the club's financial capabilities. Getafe is looking for a way to finalize the deal for Sancho without exceeding the established salary cap, especially since the player is available on a free transfer, according to the report.
The report indicates that Juanmi's injury and the possibility of his long-term absence for medical reasons could help the club create additional space within the salary cap, but this will not guarantee their ability to afford Sancho's salary. This interest comes after confirming the signing of Danny Carvajal, alongside the club's interest in acquiring Dani Parejo, as part of their efforts to strengthen their squad.
