Al-Qasim team achieved a historic victory over Al-Zawra (2-0) in the match that they gathered today at the Karbala Stadium in the framework of the 18th round of the Iraqi Stars League competitions.

After a first half that ended in a negative tie, Al -Qasim entered the second half strongly and the scoring opened at the 49th minute through the player "Saif Rashid".

Al -Qasim team continued to pressure it, and Saif Rashid returned to confirm his brilliance by scoring the second goal in the 61st minute, to eliminate Al -Zawra's hopes for returning.

Al -Zawra team tried to adjust the result, but it did not succeed in penetrating the Al -Qasim hard team, to end the meeting with a precious victory for Al -Qasim over the leaders of the Iraqi league, Al -Zawra.

Thus, Al -Zawra remains the top of the standings temporarily with 35 points, while Al -Qasim team advances to sixth with 28 points.
