Merino: This is what we showed, and I'm dead

Spanish national team star Mikel Merino appeared in press statements, after the 2-1 victory over his German counterpart in the quarter-finals of the European Nations Cup "Euro 2024".

He said The scorer of the goal to qualify for the semi-finals: “I am dead, the adrenaline is affecting me, and the matter was summed up in a goal in the 119th minute, but there was a lot of teamwork behind it.”

He added: “The draw in the 90th minute was a blow, but it is a reward for perseverance. We deserve this win and qualification.”

He added: “It was a match between two of the best teams. It could be... Be it the Euro or World Cup final, these are elite matches, and we have shown that we know how to suffer.”

He concluded: “My father also scored here in this stadium, of course. There's something about it that makes us lucky. It's a special stadium for us."
