Van Nistelrooy: I'm disappointed, it's good to see
Manchester United interim coach Ruud van Nistelrooy spoke to the media, after the 1-1 draw against Chelsea in the tenth round of the English Premier League.
The coach said: “ “The performance was very good overall. The players played really well and fought every inch of the pitch. It was very good to see.”
“Overall,” he added We could have scored another goal to win the game, and it was a shame that we couldn't do that. Overall, I'm a little disappointed that we didn't win today."
He stressed: “It's an emotional journey – it's been almost a full week where a lot of things have happened. My job was to steady the ship. The players have reacted very well, and it's something that can be built on in the next two games.”
And he said: “I came here to help the club in any way I can. After these two games, this will continue and hopefully it will work out, and it is special to be back in the city and the club. I am really enjoying every minute of it.”
p>He added: “I try to share the culture of the club, the culture of the city and the fans. This is an important part. I am happy that I can share these moments and help the players understand the spirit.”
He concluded: “I saw the spirit on the field on Wednesday and today. This is the basis for growth.”
