Kevin De Bruyne, captain of the Belgium national team, appeared before the media after the victory over Romania with two clean goals, one of which he scored and was awarded the best player in the match.
De Bruyne said after the match: “After the first match I wasn’t worried. I don’t think we played badly, but we clearly made some mistakes. We created chances but we couldn’t score. Today we played a good match and I think we deserved to win, so I’m happy.”
Regarding the goal he scored, he said: “We shot such balls in training. There was a little pressure and the balls were going far, so I needed that touch in front of The goal."
Regarding his colleague De Bruyne, he said: "Romelu played a very wonderful match today. He is not selfish. He made the first goal in the match. For me, he is playing a wonderful tournament."
He continued: “We have passion and energy, and if we could have more possession of the ball, that would be better. The important thing is that we create chances and we can finish matches. We have become a little better.”
Regarding his future, he said: “I have been playing in this team for 10 years and I have a lot of knowledge to pass on to the young players. I have not yet decided when this journey will end.” .
