Griezmann: We should not compare Mbappe and Cristiano
Antoine Griezmann, the second captain of the French national team, appeared in a press conference before the expected match tomorrow, Friday, against the Dutch national team in the second match of the two teams in Euro 2024.
He was asked Regarding his performance against Austria, he said: “Yes, I touched fewer balls. I tried to find spaces and I had a feeling that I should play better. I tried to be the link with the attackers. Tomorrow I hope to touch the ball more.”
Regarding Mbappe’s participation tomorrow, he said: “I don’t know, he is in good condition, but his nose is a little swollen. We will see tomorrow what happens.”
Regarding Ronald Koeman, the Dutch coach, he said: “He is a coach that I love. He always told me what he was thinking. I like the style of play of the Dutch coaches. They lost a key player ( De Jong) and now it's up to the field."
Regarding the key to Deschamps' success with the national team, he said: "He always had the ability to change matches tactically. He became a linked coach. His name is victory, just as it was when he was a player. He knows how to manage some moments in the match and inside the dressing room as well.”
He was asked about the comparison between Cristiano and Mbappe, and he said: “What he does “Pappe now is exceptional. What Cristiano has done is something that has never been done before. We must separate them. Stop comparing them, even with Leo Messi. Every player has his own style and way of making history. We have to enjoy both. I hope Mbappe wins the Euro.”< /p>
